We offer a range of training solutions all of which use reward based training methods and we abide by the IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers) code of ethics.
To provide our customers with flexibility and to widen access we offer a range delivery methods including face to face sessions and some training delivered using online video conferencing tools.
Puppy Basic Workshop
Getting a puppy is very exciting but it also comes with lots to know and learn to enable you to give your pup the best start in life.
Our 'Puppy Basic Workshops' are a one off 2 hour workshop for you and your pup to attend. It will provide you with the following information.
- What does your pup actually need - toys, bedding, food, exercise etc.
- Puppy basic house training advice.
- Puppy Basic training advice - provides a few simple tips on how to start to train your puppy
Puppy Basic workshops run once a month on a Saturday morning from 10am - 12pm at the Fen Acre Dog Training field. Cost is just £25, Tea and biscuits included (for you and your pup!) The following dates have been set:

Puppy preparation consultation
30 mins online via zoom - £20.00
Maybe you are considering getting a puppy or you may have already chosen one to join your family. There are lots of things to think about before you welcome your new addition into your home.
This online Puppy Preparation Consultation takes place online via Zoom where we can answer all of your questions, provide you with a useful list of equipment from bedding to toys, discuss dietary needs and explain some different activities including socialisation and early training so that you can use to give your pup the best start in life.
1-2-1 Puppy Consult (one-off)
For puppies under 6 months old. - £40 for 1 hour plus take home training notes.
Maybe you have had a puppy before maybe this is your first time. But they have arrived and you need a little refresher, advice, hints and tips on the basics.
The 'One-Off' puppy consult is held face-to-face at Fen Acre Dog's training paddock where you will be taught some of the basic fundamentals in regards to starting training with your pup. The session lasts for an hour but there is time for your pup to 'chill out' and let the adults talk where you can ask all the questions you have. At the end of the session you will be sent home some training notes that covers the skills covered in the session to help you continue with training back at home.
Online Puppy Package
4 X 40 min online zoom 1-2-1 training sessions, with training plan and training notes. - £80
Not everyone wants to join a puppy class. They do not always fit with peoples schedules and lives. So the Online Puppy Package gives you an opportunity to book 4 X 40 minute online zoom sessions tailor made for you and your pup.
These sessions can be booked at mutually agreeable times and days to fit in around you. The sessions will feature clear advice and demonstrations of key training skills. There is an opportunity to practice these in between sessions and get feedback on you and your pups progress. A detailed training plan will be drawn up and emailed to you following the first session. After each session this plan is updated and emailed out to you with further advice attached.

All of the face-to-face sessions for each bespoke training package, take place at the Fen Acre Dogs Training paddock. Following the first session a detailed training plan will be written and emailed to you. It will feature all of the training covered in the session with details of how to continue the training at home. If you choose the Silver or Gold packages, the training plans will be reviewed, adapted and resent to you highlighting progress made and your next steps. Following the completion of all training packages, we will contact you to arrange a final online zoom consult to check in with you and answer any further questions you have. During the consult we will review the progress you have made and talk about any next steps that you may want to consider.
